Who we are
LMC Cars Belfast Limited (company number NI646095), Unit 48B, North City Business Centre, 2 Duncairn Gardens, Belfast, BT15 2GG. We are the data controller for the personal details you send us through this website. You can reach us at lmccarsbelfast@gmail.com or 07537 164931.
What we collect
Only what you type into a form: your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you write in the message — plus, on a part-exchange enquiry, the details of the car you are offering. We do not ask for payment details anywhere on this site.
Our forms also record the moment the page loaded. That is a spam check — it tells us whether a form was filled in impossibly quickly by a bot — and it is not used for anything else.
Why we hold it, and on what basis
To answer your enquiry. That is our legitimate interest under UK GDPR: you asked us a question and we need your details to reply. If your enquiry turns into a sale, we keep the records we are required to keep for tax and consumer-rights purposes.
We do not send marketing email, and we do not sell or rent your details to anyone.
Who else sees it
- Supabase — the database holding enquiries, hosted in London (eu-west-2).
- Resend — sends the notification to us and the acknowledgement to you.
- Vercel — hosts the site and processes the request that carries your form.
- CodeWeavers — supplies the finance calculator on our finance page. It works out illustrative figures from a price you enter; your name and contact details are not passed to it.
If you ask us about finance and want to take it further, we pass your details to a finance partner so they can contact you. We tell you before that happens, and they become responsible for your data from that point.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to a sale are kept for up to two years, so we can pick up a conversation if you come back to us. Records relating to a sale are kept for six years, which is what tax and consumer-rights law requires. Ask us to delete an enquiry sooner and we will.
Cookies
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. See our cookie notice for the detail.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to us holding it. Email lmccarsbelfast@gmail.com and we will deal with it within one month.
If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If we change how any of this works, we change this page and update the date at the top of it.
